I know, crazy right?!  Casey Stoner, two-time GP premier class World Champion, retired from racing in 2012.  Yet, here were are, five years later, watching him put the best riders in the world to shame in pre-season testing.

Although he won’t be a competitor in the normal MotoGP season, his role as test rider/advisor for the Factory Ducati Team still gives him the ability to lay the smack down on occasion.

Of those receiving this embarrassing beating is none other than Jorge Lorenzo, Ducati’s newest and most expensive employee.  Stoner’s job is to help Lorenzo get familiar with the wild-natured GP17.  Unfortunately, it appears as though Jorge couldn’t keep up during day 1 of the Sepang test this week:

Day 2 of testing action saw a massive shakeup in the results, but it’s still amazing to see a retired World Champion being competitive.  What other sport could this happen in?
