We Should All Take a Moment to Appreciate Jurrell Casey’s Ability to Splatter Fools

Welp – the NFL has disabled embedding of their YouTube videos, so you guys will have to click this link to go watch the video announcing Tennessee Titans defensive tackle Jurrell Casey as the 86th best player in the NFL.

But, it’s definitely worth it – if for nothing else, just as a reminder of how great this guy is. He has such a unique skill set for his position – great lateral movement, elite athleticism, deceptive shiftiness. Casey rushes the passer, sheds blockers and blows up run plays. My man can do it all along the defensive line. I mean, just look at this:

This is absurd – Casey defies physics. This is a 6’1″ 305-pound man trying to chase down Jets wide receiver Brandon Marshall. Sure, he didn’t catch him, but the fact that Casey was like, “nah, dude – not on my watch” and tried to gun this dude down like he didn’t weigh north of 300 is astounding. If you’re Marshall in this situation, how do you not shit yourself looking back and seeing this man steamrolling your direction?

That’s why Casey didn’t catch him – this was a classic case of fight or flight. Marshall saw Casey coming and that panic that enables men to lift dump trucks off of people kicked in. That miracle strength – and boom, Marshall was gone. He saw his life flash before his eyes.

Best cameo of the video goes to Delanie Walker, who’s looking on like, “bruh – how do you do this?”

And, I could sit here and watch him put Houston Texans on their backs all day long:

Quote of the video: “Jurrell Casey can put you in a mixer real quick.”

Just absolutely love it – for the better part of his six seasons with the team, he’s been the face of the Titans defense, and Nashville sure is happy to have the guy. Also, every Titan fan knows there’s no better sack call in the NFL than Mike Keith’s – try to find a better one. Go on, I’ll wait.

I tell you what, though – if you can watch all of this without getting fired up for life, you need to check your pulse. 99 problems, baby! #TitanUp
