Derrick Henry Continues to Be Comically Larger Than People

First things first – I know, I’m about a week behind on all of the news and goings-on of the Tennessee Titans, but I’m on vacation. Give me a break. Still, I love seeing the ginormous Derrick Henry towering over people. It gives me an opportunity to revisit this fabulous photo:

Love it. Mark Ingram looking at the camera like, “come on. Don’t make me look like a bitch.” But, the photo inevitably got out – and Ingram looks like a dwarf next to King Henry. In fairness, I don’t know too many people who wouldn’t look like a dwarf next to Henry, though his offensive line might have something to say about that.

Khalfani Muhammad is 5’7″ and 174 pounds, so yeah – he is going to look like a child next to the 6’3″ 238-pound Henry. He brings an entirely different skillset to the Titans offense, but it doesn’t make this photo any less funny. It’s like Henry brought his son to OTAs and put him in a Titans uniform. Now, he’s learning the offense from pops. It’s like Henry is a real life superhero.

All kidding aside, I loved the drafting of Muhammad from day one. He brings an element of speed, shiftiness, and lateral quickness where Henry and DeMarco Murray are more physical, punishing, North-South runners. That’s something the Titans did well in the draft – brought in new dynamics to make the offense even more versatile.

The immediate comparison is Darren Sproles. If he reaches that potential, the Titans are going to have one hell of a backfield. Check out Jim Wyatt’s full write-up on the first week of OTAs here. Things are lookin’ good for the Titans so far.
