The Trailer for ‘Stranger Things 2’ Dropped Over the Weekend and It Looks Crazy As Hell

Last summer, a group of kids took the country by storm in Netflix’s hit Stranger Things. The show had a little bit of everything – strong performances, an unusually strong ambience, perfectly timed comedic relief, and more mystery and intrigue than you could shake a damn stick at.

Now, full disclosure here, I wasn’t as impressed as I think the rest of the SoBros team was. Sure, it was a fun show that had a unique and creepy vibe to it. But, in all honesty, I just didn’t come away from it with the same feeling of satisfaction as some of my cohorts. In other words, I wasn’t high on life. I just have to add that in there in case any of the other writers read this and say, “uhhhh, Stoney, don’t try and act like you were all in on Stranger Things from day one.” They’d be right to call me out on that, but hey – here we are a year later and the trailer for season two is out.

Now, I’m starting to remember all of the things I loved about season one – the music, the mystery, the alternate dimension bullshit. Honestly, I can’t even recall why I didn’t like season one as much as everyone else anymore.

But, season two looks awesome.

There’s simply no other way to put it. It still has the same creepy vibe, but this year the show is out at Halloween so Netflix is deciding to be festive af. That “Thriller” remix was just electric. I’m pretty sure I saw a giant Demogorgan in there somewhere, which is wild as hell in its own regard. And, someone…perhaps something….is calling to Will. But, it doesn’t want him. It wants everyone else. Perhaps the biggest revelation of all, though, is that Eleven does not appear to be dead. However, you can never really tell with this show. Maybe it’s a flashback or something? But, the fact that they show her in the trailer makes me think she indeed survived bundling the Demogorgan into particle dust.

This is just pandemonium, people. I mean, my heart is already racing just thinking about the endless possibilities that this show brings to the table. Time to go re-binge watch season one. See y’all in October.
