Couple of things we need to talk about here. First off, I’ll come clean. Yes – I follow an account on Instagram called ‘kidsgettinghurt.’ But, can you blame me? I mean, I’m in the business of #content, and this is some high quality #content. And, to the best of my knowledge, it ain’t like they’re showing kids dying or anything. Really, this is just directed at one particular friend of the site. Now, I feel a little self conscious about myself…like, “what life choices led me to liking ‘kidsgettinghurt’ on Instagram?”

Nonetheless, we’re here, folks, and this is a video I’ve watched at least 100 times. There’s just so much to break down. I know ‘boys being boys’ tends to have a negative connotation these days, but this is the preeminent example of ‘boys being boys.’ Do you know how many times my friends and I did similar shit growing up? A. LOT. But, we’re also so fucking old that cameras on phones were laughable at the time.

The kid on the bed, man – he gets all the credit here – just throwing that thumb up at the beginning like ‘SEND IT.’ That’s premium tough guy points right there. It’s the equivalent of getting punched in the face and saying, “is that all you got?” So, right away, we know this little dude isn’t here to fuck around. You’re going to put his ass through a closet door or you’re going to gtfo here.

By the way, how pissed are the parents going to be when they see the hole our dude put in that closet door? I’d say they’d probably just make him fix it. But, I’m guessing this kid’s going to be in a full body cast for the next year.

If he was any older, he’d lose tough guy points for the shrill screech at the end, but he’s at the right age for it to be acceptable to take a crushing blow to the entire body and not stuff the pain and emotions as deep as they can go.

When I was his age, I was driving a go kart through a split rail fence. It was that same type of scream – just sheer terror and pain all over my body. So much pain that I had no idea what even hurt. It was everything, all over my body. I felt like I was going to die.

Anyway, hope this kid’s not dead.
