Apparently, there was a little bit of fire between Detroit Lions tight end Eric Ebron and New York Giants safety Landon Collins after Monday night’s game. For those who didn’t catch it, tl;dr: the Lions pretty well dominated the Giants. The Giants are now off to an 0-2 start, but that hasn’t stopped Collins, a guy I said was the future of the safety position, from sounding off. This all started when Collins laid a hit on Ebron that he didn’t care too much for. Ebron told The Detroit News:
“I was pissed off,” Ebron said. “I was pissed off at that little punk of a safety they’ve got over there.”
“Collins, he played a good game, that hit just pissed me off and I didn’t feel like celebrating,” Ebron said. “I wasn’t in that kind of joyful mood. It was still a good game. He played his butt off trying to guard me. I commend him for that.”
After the touchdown, Ebron and Collins got in a post-play spat, coming helmet-to-helmet and exchanging words before being separated by teammates.
“I just told him good hit,” Ebron said with a smile. “He may have said some other things, but it’s cool.”
Now, Collins has responded firing out this tweet:
Be a bully…still zero catches on me between those lines https://t.co/ciYSx55HXh

One of the best safeties in the NFL just murdered Eric Ebron on Twitter for all to see. I mean, what makes this so savage is the fact that Ebron actually ended his spat pretty complimentary of Collins. But, that didn’t matter – you call someone a punk, you deal with the consequences.
All Collins had to do was go scoreboard and Ebron was as good as gone. If I’m Ebron the only move I can make at this point is asking, “yeah, well – who won the game, #21? Who is 2-0 and who is 0-2 here?”
That’s the only way Ebron can turn this around.
