Michael Beasley Has Just Put My Mind in a Pretzel Trying to Explain How People Only Use 10% of Their Brain

In 2017, man, there’s no such thing as an unheard of opinion. You got the flat Earth people out there spewing opinions all over the place. There are literally still neo-Nazis in the country who believe that black people are bad just because they are black. Conspiracy theories, fantasies and frauds. It just doesn’t matter.

Hell, I can just throw an opinion out there: “I think we’re all really living in a giant’s eye ball.”

See how easy that was? Still, I can’t help but fall for the crazy opinions every time. I’m hooked – I just love reading people being crazy as hell. But, with that said, even I have to acknowledge that Michael Beasley has really upped the ante:

I’ve watched this 10 times now and I’m still confused. (via @taylorrooks)

Ummm….

Yeah….I don’t know. Also, there are two videos in that post so make sure to watch them both.

I have a vague idea of what Beasley is going for here, and it’s something that could’ve been explained in a single sentence: “We should question what we’ve been taught, because it’s all been written by men.” That’s a pretty common argument, no? I mean, you read it alone in reference to Christianity – it’s hardly new. But, I’ve never seen someone attempt to explain it by relating it to the ‘10% of our brain’ rule. Plus, I’ve never seen someone struggle so much to get a single basic idea into words.

But, let’s try and sort this out.

Who was the first person to discover that we only use 10% of our brain? That person must have been able to use 11% of their brain? And, how do you see that? You know? Like, how can you tell what percentage of their brain someone is using? And where did that person learn to look at how much of a percentage of someone’s brain they use?

All of knowledge has been written by man and that man who first wrote that we only use 10% of our brain learned from something else that was wrote down and we shouldn’t just accept that because what if someone is able to use more percent of their brain and then we can’t just accept things because a doctor said so.

Man, I’m startin’ to fuck wit what you’re saying, Michael. You might be on to something.
