Welcome all degenerate gamblers back into my weekly American football column, Tank the 401k. Here, I will divulge all my professional eagle-eyed opinions on the upcoming week. Call your bookie and empty those retirement accounts!

Well, all good things must come to an end, eh? That’s what they say, right? I had a terrific win streak going after a shaky start to the season, but last week saw me post my first losing weekend since early October. It was fun while it lasted, but it looks like I bought in a little too hard too quickly on the Rams.

But, the show must go on. It’s Thanksgiving – we’re all getting ready for some good food and football with our families….at least I hope so. If not, man, my heart goes out to you.

BIG NATURAL’S TANK THE 401K PICKS

NCAAF: Washington State +10 @ Washington – It’s the ultimate gut check pick for your boy. I’ve been on the Washington State train all season, and only once was that a detriment to my record. I’ve said they’re the best team in the Pac-12 and could be the New Year’s Six representative from the conference. I don’t know how confident I am in this pick, but I’m not going to back out of it now.

NFL: Oakland -5 vs. Denver – I know the Raiders aren’t what they were supposed to be quite yet, but they’re easily five points better than the Broncos, who would be the worst team in the AFC if not for the Cleveland Browns.

NCAAF: LSU -10.5 vs. Texas A&M – This Tigers team is good, plain and simple. They’d love to have that Troy game back, and maybe they’d be thinking about the Sugar Bowl. But, regardless of that, I like ’em big over the Aggies at home.

NFL: Seattle -6.5 @ San Francisco – It’s simple: the Seahawks are the vastly superior team. I know the first game between these two teams was close, but Seattle had a spell where they seemed to find themselves. I’m not too worried about the loss to Atlanta. I’ll take the Seahawks by a touchdown here.

NCAAF: Alabama @ Auburn, UNDER 47.5 – I think this game is going to be about defense. No one should be surprised to see this thing end 17-14 or 20-17. As far as which way the game goes, your guess is as good as mine. But, I’m confident in this under.

Last Week: (2-3)
On the Season: (36-29-1) – 55%

ICYMI: A very tired Football & Other F Words crew gets together to talk about picks that would have them popping champagne this weekend and exhaustingly bad draft takes.
