Tank the 401k: “Ummmm, Wut?” Edition

Welcome all degenerate gamblers back into my weekly American football column, Tank the 401k. Here, I will divulge all my professional eagle-eyed opinions on the upcoming week. Call your bookie and empty those retirement accounts!

What the hell happened last week? Two pushes? Two losses? Just one win? Damn, well at least we’re still winning on the season. A solid, respectable 56% of 73 games picked have been correct so far.

Also, it makes me one incredibly sad panda that the college football season is over. Sure, the most wonderful time of the year is upon us (bowl season and Christmas, for those of you who don’t know). But, I’m still sad to see the regular season go. I guess there’s nothing I can do to slow down Father Time and his propensity for making me feel like an old ass dude.

BIG NATURAL’S TANK THE 401K PICKS

NFL: Seattle +3 @ Jacksonville – The Jags haven’t really been tested as of late, so I think this comes down to a combination of a step up in competition and the Seahawks simply getting hot this time of year.

NFL: Tennessee @ Arizona, UNDER 44 – I could see this being a “trap game” for a Titans offense that hasn’t exactly been blowing opponents away. But, mainly, I expect this to be a defensive battle with points coming at a premium. This one could end 13-10.

NCAAF: Army +3.5 @ Navy – It’s the only college game of the weekend, and a pretty special one at that. So, I guess I have to call it, huh? Something about this one just says, “Army” to me, so I’m going with Army. How is that for analysis?

NFL: Minnesota -3 @ Carolina – The Vikings proved last week that they can take their defense on the road and stuff an elite offense. I think this team has real Super Bowl aspirations, and they continue to prove themselves on Sunday.

NFL: Green Bay – 3.5 @ Cleveland – I get that people think the Browns are going to snatch a victory at some point this season. But, +3.5 against a decent Green Bay team even without Aaron Rodgers? That seems crazy. I’m taking the Pack.

Last Week: (1-2-2)
On the Season: (41-32-3) – 56%
