The Definitive Fidget Boyz Playlist

Yesterday, we dropped the music video of the decade: the Fidget Boyz. It’s a project we’ve had on our to-do list for nearly two year. Seriously, it was at least early 2017 when RHog and I first started conceptualizing this video. In case you missed the world premiere on Twitter/Facebook yesterday, take a look here thanks to our site’s capability of embedding YouTube videos into articles. WOW!

Every time I watch it, I find something new. But, I know what you’re probably thinking…“you’re telling me there was an actual idea behind this video? It took you two fucking years to get this done?”

Well, first of all, shut up. We’re busy dudes. It’s hard to coordinate schedules, and shit just happens. News flash buddy – we aren’t running SoBros full time. We all have day jobs, and it takes a monumental effort to get five dudes in one place these days.

In hindsight, I’m actually incredibly happy that it took us two years to get this done. If we had done it any sooner, it wouldn’t have been the same.

The vision on this was pretty simple – “let’s make…like….a rap video….but instead of guns, cars, and booty, it’s going to be….wait for it…fidget spinners.”

The day of filming, at least three of the guys asked, “so, like….you don’t have a script? You don’t have a general outline at all?”

Nope. I was banking on the collective creativity of the SoBros team and their ability to come up with funny shit on the fly. I wanted to just get a group of dudes in a field with a basic idea, turn the camera on, and just see what happens. Some stuff turns out better that way – case in point…this video. The guys proved me right on this one.

So, in celebration, I figured I’d write up a quick behind-the-scenes post about the creation of this clip and throw together a playlist featuring some of the songs that inspired the Fidget Boyz video and very well represent the Fidget Boyz lifestyle. LFG.
