SummerSlam 2019 is upon us, and though it’s been a minute, it’s time for us to get back on our throne as the official unofficial official Kings of the Drinking Game.
I gotta say, folks – I could not give less of a shit about SummerSlam this year. If they’re trying to win back the diehard fans and bring new ones in, I don’t think running back matches we’ve seen a million times before and bringing back guys like Goldberg is the way to do it. You would think with this big deal with FOX coming up, they’d want to bring the heat. Instead, they’re running six big time matches that we’ve already seen before. Of the remaining matches that aren’t just rehashed rematches, there are only two that I’m really pumped about (Bayley-Ember Moon, Gulak-Lorcan). I don’t give a shit about Goldberg-Ziggler.
But, that being said, SummerSlam is still an event on the wrestling calendar. So, if you’re like me and don’t really care about the actual card, maybe we can at least still have some fun with a good old fashioned SoBros Network drinking game!
SummerSlam 2019 Drinking Game
Take a drink if/when…
- There’s a title change.
- Anyone uses a foreign object.
- An announce table is destroyed.
- There’s a “THIS IS AWESOME” chant.
- Highlights from NXT TakeOver: Toronto are shown.
- The real life romance between Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins is mentioned.
- You see a superkick.
- A forklift is mentioned.
- Someone throws up the “too sweet”
- Anyone mentions that Seth Rollins has been “medically cleared” to compete.
- There’s a WWE2K20 commercial.
- An announcer posits whether or not Kevin Owens will have to leave the WWE!
- You hear the term “The Man.”
- You hear the term “FIEND.”
- There’s a commercial for Smackdown going to Fox.
- Anyone mentions SummerSlam being in Boston next year.
- Someone says “outta nowhere.”
- The Miz and/or Shawn Michaels shows up in the Ziggler-Goldberg bout.
- Anderson & Gallows get involved in the U.S. Championship match.
- Someone hits a finisher in the Universal Championship match. You know there’s finna be at least a dozen.
Take a shot if/when…
- Dolph-Goldberg goes past 10 minutes.
- The Matt Riddle-Goldberg beef is brought up on air.
- Roman Reigns doesn’t actually wrestle.
- Brock-Seth goes longer than 10 minutes.
- The Cruiserweight Championship ISN’T on the kickoff show.
