Tennessee Titans tight end Delanie Walker IS BACK. My God, what a relief. Not only did we see him out there gashing the Cleveland Browns on the field, but he was gashing ’em in the locker room after the game, too.
Walker posted 55 yards and two touchdowns on five catches, clearly picking up where he left off as the most trusted target of quarterback Marcus Mariota. On that first touchdown, he found the softest ass spot you could imagine right smack dab in the middle of the Browns defense, and he punched it in for a relatively easy touchdown.
Afterwards, he got Titans Twitter 10 kinds of fired up with this celebration:

Now, he would later clarify that this celebration is an inside reference to ‘pay dirt’ between he and the other Titans play-makers. But, for my money, I like the idea that our guy #82 is out there just burying the fucking dead on the football field.
But, his day wasn’t done. Later in the game, Walker tacked on that second touchdown that I mentioned before:

Hittin’ ’em with the ol’ Dennis Green. I was telling people ALL WEEK last week, “the Titans are well-equipped to beat the Browns,” and “the Titans actually have the guys to negate the things the Browns do well..“
Derrick Henry vs. that pass rush, the Titans defense against that makeshift Browns offensive line, Delanie Walker and company over the middle, etc.
But, noooooo – the Browns were still 5.5-point favorites. I’m with Delanie, y’all….they are who we thought they were.
So, with all of this in mind, I say it’s time we buy in on this new nickname for #82: The Grave Digger. I won’t take credit for this idea:
