Hearts Out to This Texas Jail That Keeps Erroneously Releasing Inmates – I’m Sure They’re Trying

Bad news for this Texas jail, as apparently the higher-ups are cracking down on it. Why, you might ask? Because, by mistake, they keep releasing people who shouldn’t be released. Now, that’s what I call Y I K E S!

Courtesy of NBCDFW.com:

The top administrator in Bexar County says the jail there is facing a “crisis situation” after guards wrongly released two inmates just hours apart, bringing to at least 12 the number of prisoners mistakenly released this year.

Man, I’m sure they are trying, guys. This stuff can’t possibly be happening on purpose. I’d be willing to bet that every jailer in Bexar County is doing his/her/their best, okay?

I don’t know how it keeps happening or why. Is something like JAIL an institution that should be behaving in such a lax manner? Of course not! Hell no, we shouldn’t just be releasing prisoners back into the wild if they’re not supposed to be released! But, and maybe this is just my leadership style, you get more with honey than ya do with vinegar!

Maybe instead of yelling at these wardens, they should try something more positive. Boost morale, and maybe…just maybe…the right people are actually let back out into the world.

From the other side of this, how stoked are you if you’re that prisoner?

Wait – I just had a thought. What if Bexar County is doing this as a way to boost prisoner morale? It’s actually kind of like a lottery – every few months or so, they turn some random person loose, and then tell the bosses, “OOPS WE DONE MESSED UP AGAIN” while winking to the prisoners.

They’re not really buffoons. They’re just looking out for the inmates. We all know morale among prisoners is usually pretty low. Maybe Bexar County is just like, “nah – we’re going to be different – we’re going to disrupt the system.”

This actually makes a whole lot of sense.
