The Preds Rolled Out a Pedal Tavern On the Ice Last Night

It’s no secret that the pedal tavern has become the mortal enemy of local Nashvillians and downtown commuters. Last night, for some reason, the Nashville Predators decided to roll one out, right there on the damn ice, as apart of their big opening night festivities.

Preds fans seem to fucking hate this. I cracked up when I saw it. Just the absurdity of it all – a pedal tavern….on ice….I think the only way this is infuriating to me is if the pedal tavern is actually holding up game play the way it holds up rush hour traffic.

Side tangent: fucking SERIOUSLY!?!?! WHO GETS ON A PEDAL TAVERN AT 5PM ON A TUESDAY!?!? This type of tourism gimmick is exactly why I just stay out in Donelson on the weekends now. That, and of course, the bomb ass tacos at Nectar: Urban Cantina.

But, I guess Preds fans are just irritated by the organization twisting the knife – we flee downtown to escape the incessant woo-ing that reverberates through the city. Bridgestone Arena is supposed to be a safe haven, away from all of the noise and nonsense. We’re there to watch hockey – don’t remind us of the very thing we detest most.

I just hope someone has checked on Big Joe Dubin. Is he okay? Feels like this is the exact sort of thing that could trigger an emotional breakdown for the guy.

By the way, the Preds won. That’s all I know. I am in no way, shape, or form qualified to talk about hockey.
