Welcome to NFL DFS advice for the Chiefs at Titans matchup during Week 10 of the 2019 season. Every week, Joshua Huffman will preview some of the main participants from the Tennessee Titans games. These guides will include player pricing, injuries, potential mismatches, and anything else players should consider when choosing players from Tennessee and/or their opponents.

Chiefs at Titans: Injury Report

  • Chiefs QB Mahomes practiced fully on Wednesday. He remains questionable for Sunday’s game.
  • Titans CB Malcolm Butler was moved to injured reserve. Reserve CB LeShaun Sims has been a significant downgrade when replacing either starting cornerback. Since Tennessee rarely re-slots their cornerbacks, Chiefs WR Hill could take advantage of that void.
  • Titans DL Jurrell Casey remains out of practice.

Chiefs at Titans: Lines (As of Nov. 6)

  • Chiefs (-4 to -6; subject to change via quarterback)
  • Over/Under 48 to 48.5; subject to change via quarterback

Chiefs at Titans: NFL DFS Advice

  • If QB Moore starts, then expect this game to play UNDER 48.0 to 48.5. If Mahomes plays, then expect it AROUND to OVER 48.0 to 48.5. With Titans CB Butler moving to injured reserve, Mahomes would have a major void to attack in Tennessee’s secondary. Both teams rely on offenses that spread it around to many skill players. There are many different cheap assets capable of having solid performances. The question is who—if any—will go off for the big scores.
  • For the last two weeks, Tennessee has used a contrarian approach against opposing defenses. Tennessee elected to attack Tampa Bay’s No. 1 run defense instead of using their wide receivers to attack the defensive backfield. Tennessee gave RB Henry two carries during the first half against the Carolina Panthers. Questionable game-planning and strategies make this a risky offense to use. Proceed with caution.
  • Chiefs have a slew of low priced WRs that could take advantage of Titans CB Butler’s absence. While cheap, WR Watkins would likely see most of his action against Titans SCB Logan Ryan. That may limit his upside a little bit. WR Hill or WR Robinson are more likely to advantage of the downgraded outside cornerback. These three wide receivers and TE Kelce are playable. Just know that Robinson’s very low priority in that offense means that he has a scoreless floor.
  • Chiefs RB Damien Williams comes at an affordable $4900 price tag. With RB McCoy seemingly losing snaps after fumbling against the Green Bay Packers, Williams looks like the major shareholder in Kansas City’s backfield. If the Chiefs use him like the Los Angeles Chargers used Austin Ekeler or the Carolina Panthers used Christian McCaffery, then he has some decent upside. Playable but with risk.
  • Titans RB Henry offers the best matchup against Kansas City’s improving, yet deficient run defense. Just remember that Tennessee has been using more of a contrarian approach. Worthy of GPP consideration. A very low floor makes him unfavorable for cash games.
  • The 2018 Titans played their best football against top competition. They defeated the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles and dominated the eventual champion New England Patriots. They’re known for showing up when national praise awaits them. At 4-5, they’re either desperate or ready to die. Maybe try some contrarian stacks with RB Henry, TE Walker or Smith, and maybe WR Davis. I don’t love it but you never know with this team. Considering one can have Arizona Cardinals WRs Larry Fitzgerald ($5500) and Christian Kirk ($5200) for a combined $10700 against Tampa Bay’s putrid pass defense, one may not need many value risks this week.
  • If Mahomes plays, then Titans D/ST is a major no. If Moore plays, then they’re a decent $2000 option. You’re likely better off with a $2600 Pittsburgh Steelers defense.
