Iron Bowl Drinking Game 2019

"Big Natural" Stoney Keeley is back with his Iron Bowl Drinking Game for 2019. It's the biggest, most heated game of the year for Alabama fans. Let's drink.

Can you believe it? It’s already time for the 2019 Iron Bowl. The Alabama Crimson Tide. The Auburn Tigers. In my book, there’s no rivalry more heated, there’s no rivalry more personal, and there’s no rivalry that’s better in all of college football. You can keep your Michigan-Ohio State. I’ll take Alabama-Auburn eight days a week. Seeing as how we are the official unofficial kings of the drinking game (trademark pending), I figured it was our responsibility to the great fan bases on both sides of this rivalry to bring back the Iron Bowl drinking game for 2019.

To say this year’s game is huge would be an understatement. It’s practically Alabama’s season. If they win, and a few dominoes fall their way, they could find themselves back in the College Football Playoffs for the sixth consecutive year. They’ll be without stud quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, but this offense is a lot more than its (albeit once-in-a-generation) quarterback. There’s a wealth of NFL talent in the receiving corps. But, oh how the Tigers and that elite defense love to spoil the season for the Tide! This one’s going to be good.

The game kicks off at 2:30PM CST on Saturday, LIVE from Jordan-Hare Stadium in Auburn. The Tide is currently a 3.5-point favorite, with an over/under set at 50 points. LFG.

Iron Bowl Drinking Game 2019

Take a drink if/when…

  • Someone mentions the injury to Tua Tagovailoa.
  • Someone mentions that Bo Nix is a freshman.
  • They show the infamous “Kick Six” from 2013.
  • They show the Cam Newton comeback from 2010.
  • They show the all-time Iron Bowl record. Alabama leads the series 46–36–1, FYI.
  • You hear mention of “Legion Field” or “four games in Montgomery.”
  • 2017 is brought up, when Alabama lost the Iron Bowl, but won the National Championship.
  • Jerry Jeudy, DeVonta Smith, Henry Ruggs, or Jaylen Waddle’s NFL prospects are mentioned – take another drink if they’re referred to as a “top 50 pick.” Take a third drink if they specifically use the words “playing on Sundays.”
  • Bo Nix throws more than one touchdown -OR- scores a rushing touchdown.
  • Anyone talks about how the Alabama defense is “young” or “isn’t the same as it used to be.”
  • JaTarvious Whitlow gets 15+ carries.
  • Alabama rushes for 110 yards or more on the game.
  • Auburn passes for 200 yards or more on the game.
  • Either team scores 20 points (both teams are only allowing 16.2 points per game).
  • Mac Jones hits 300 passing yards -OR- three touchdowns.
  • Seth Williams catches a touchdown.
  • Najee Harris hits 58 rushing yards (which would put him at 1,000 on the season).
  • Eli Stove gets a rushing attempt.
  • Any Alabama receiver gets 10 catches.
  • Either defense records a sack.

Take a shot if/when…

  • Alabama misses an extra point.
  • Slade Bolden completes another pass.
  • Bo Nix completes 25 passes.
  • Jaylen Waddle returns a kickoff/punt for a touchdown.
  • Auburn scores a defensive touchdown.
  • Anyone from either team breaks any Iron Bowl record.
  • Somebody mentions the Morrill Land Grant Act of 1862. Actually take two shots for this one.

As usual, stay safe out there and drink responsibly, folks. If you drink, don’t drive, do the watermelon crawl.
