The Tennessee Titans are on the roll of a lifetime. They essentially became America’s team by knocking the hated and villainous New England Patriots out of the playoffs. Now, Derrick Henry is breaking records and putting ridiculous highlights on SportsCenter, and it seems like people are crawling out of the woodwork to claim their unwavering support of the Titans. People are going to start hopping on the Titans bandwagon.
That kinda shit is bound to happen, y’all. It’s inevitable. It’s only a matter of time before Drake takes a photo with a #22 jersey on. Some of y’all were on Facebook earlier this year, posting your pictures in your Patrick Mahomes jerseys, and now, all of a sudden, it’s TITAN UP, BABY! Those of us who had to sit through the butt fucking misery of the Ken Whisenhunt era can see right through that phony bullshit.
But, guys – it’s okay. Really, I promise you – it’s okay.
Maybe I’m in the minority here, but I’m actually ready to welcome new fans to the greatest football franchise in the history of all football franchises (it’s science). The more, the merrier. There’s room for some new blood. Hell, maybe they’ll start canceling out some of those negative voices on Titans Twitter. Y’know, the ones that make you wonder why they even claim to be a fan of the Titans to begin with?
Titans fans, my ask is that you be welcoming. Let’s spread the brand of Titans football….build new friendships…celebrate the successes with people who share our interest. Doesn’t that sound nice?
Will that happen? No. Hell, I’ve already seen people calling out the people jumping on the Titans bandwagon. I just wanted to point out that the influx of fans isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Plus, we’re still repping our city. It boils down to just not being an asshole. Don’t put that on the Music City. That ain’t Nashville. That’s not what we’re about.
I’m always for spreading the brand, and the brand is HAWT right now, y’all.
