Nashville is becoming one hell of a food city. No doubt about that. Even though the Nashville hot chicken craze, the meat and threes, barbecue, and deep fried everything are probably what the city’s best known for, there are a couple of ‘fine dining’ gems sprinkled across the Music City. Chief among them, in my opinion, is Etch. Now, Etch Chef Deb Paquette has been announced as the Nashville representative at the NFL’s ‘Taste of the NFL’ event, taking place on the eve of the Super Bowl.

Nashville culinary legend Chef Deb Paquette of Etch and etc. restaurants will be partnering with the Tennessee Titans at this year’s Taste of the NFLParty with a Purpose on Feb. 1 in Miami. This will be her seventh year representing Tennessee at the Super Bowl.
Hell. Yes. LFG. For my money, Etch is the best restaurant in the city. I had a duck dish there that made my Levi’s tighten if you know what I mean. The roasted cauliflower appetizer is no joke, either. Great for a celebration, a special occasion, or just a step up in your date night game. Etch is the move, y’all – take a look at the menu here. So, I’m happy to see Paquette reppin’ the city at this event.
For the uninitiated, the ‘Taste of the NFL’ is an annual event during which representatives from each NFL city get together and offer up their signature dishes. You buy tickets, go eat, drink, and be merry, and the NFL donates the money to help food banks and hunger relief efforts. You can learn more about the event here.
Williamson Source also reported that Paquette and the folks at Etch have raised $102,000 to date for Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee. PLEASE put some respect on this Nashville legend’s name. And, ffs go enjoy a nice dinner at Etch.
