The official War on Coronavirus 2020 is taking a dramatic turn down on the bayou. Yesterday, the Governor of Louisiana unveiled their secret weapon to fighting off the virus: Coach O. That’s right – the legendary head ball coach for the LSU Tigers took the stage to offer up some words of encouragement and advise people to stay in their homes.

HOT DAMN. FOLLOW THE GAME PLAN! They even let him develop his own catchphrase when it comes to fighting the coronavirus. AND, they even let him sit in the planning! What was that meeting like? Government officials sitting there developing a plan for an EMERGENCY SITUATION with Coach O. What a wild visual. But, hey – props to them for understanding the brevity of the situation and getting someone that people will actually listen to at the podium. Scientists? Pfffffff. The Governor? Pfffff. But, Coach O? Silence. Everyone’s paying attention.
“We’re from Louisiana! We’re tough!”
Only Coach O can talk about sitting at home on your couch for two weeks and have you ready to run through a brick wall about it. I’m not even from Louisiana. I’m here in Tennessee. But, I’m feelin’ this press conference.
“We’re tough! Bring it on!”
Again – the “it” here is the idea of quarantining for a little bit. Sitting around with loved ones and taking in a little downtime. You gotta get hyped and remind yourself how tough you are for that.
This begs the question, though: who would win in a fight between Coach O and the coronavirus? I’m joking, of course. That’s laughable. The man is undefeated in life, he’s a champion of men, and no silly virus is going to end that streak.
