An awful lot of folks are going through a tough time right now amid all of the business closures in the face of the COVID-19 spread. Not everyone has the luxury of working from home, and unfortunately with Nashville being such a mecca of the tourism industry, that means a huge part of our economy runs off of the backs of people in the service industry.

Maybe one, hell…maybe the only bright spot from people rushing to grocery stores to buy up all of the toilet paper, milk, and chicken, is that it’s created a strain on local grocers to keep up with the rush. As a result, that’s creating job opportunities for those who might need one.

Full story at News Channel 5:

Kroger is adding new positions to help support those in the community whose jobs have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in Middle Tennessee.

It looks like they’re trying to get people up and running in just a matter of days. Check out the list of both full and part-time openings at area Kroger locations here.

Amazon has also announced they’ll be hiring a massive amount of people, too. With such a large footprint in Nashville, I’d imagine that bodes well for those seeking employment as well. They have a ton of positions in Nashville listed on Google.
