With the 2020 NFL Draft officially in the books, Haley and I wanted to take a look at where the players from out favorite college teams (Notre Dame and Tennessee) ended up. Overall, we’re both pleased with where each of the draft picks ended up, but there is definitely a pick or two that stood out for each of us.

University of Tennessee Players Drafted

Seattle Seahawks (Rd. 2. #48 overall): Darrell Taylor – “He’s being put in a position where he can succeed and with an organization that REALLY wanted him. He has a motor that won’t stop, so he’ll fit in well with that defense.” -Haley

“For me this pick said that Seattle really wanted to lock down the pass rush. Mr. EIC pointed out that this very well could mean that Seattle is done with Jadeveon Clowney, which as a Titan fan would be huge. We (Haley and I) both loved what he brought to the UT defense which was a constant want to sack the quarterback. He’ll be missed in orange and white.” -Mose

San Francisco 49ers (Rd. 7. #171 overall): Jauan Jennings – “He won’t be asked to carry the load like he was at times in Knoxville. When he does make the field, look for more consistency but the same drive he had at UT.” -Haley

“The word we keep coming back to with Jauan is fire. You’re gonna have naysayers that point to his tribulations at Tennessee, but when he was on the field, there wasn’t a player that wanted to win for his school more than Jauan Jennings. If he can put that fire into the right fuel, then this could be a hell of a bargain for Kyle Shanahan.” -Mose
