Let’s face it – every day we are routinely bombarded with questions. When you’re an emerging media company in Nashville, people just want to know what your opinions are on everything. It’s only natural. And, since our duty is to serve the people, well, we have no choice but to be present. That’s the SoBro Way. Also, aren’t mailbags just a barrel of laughs anyway? Welcome to the newest weekly recurring feature up in this bitch: The SoBros Mailbag. As always, hit us with those mailbag questions @SoBrosNetwork on Twitter.

Question:

Answer:

Can we talk about Eureka’s Castle for a moment, please? Does that count as obscure? Probably not if you’re over the age of 30, but that shit ruled as a kid, and I don’t feel like it gets the credit it deserves among the childhood heavyweights. People always talk about the Nicktoons, but that show helped to pave the way for Nick Jr. in my book. I always wanted to have that castle in my backyard, too.

Question:

Answer:

I’m not going to lie. I love my fiance to death, but if she was acting like that in public, I would 1000000% tell her to cool it. I’ve never seen her get Karen where actual Karens would actually get Karen, if you know what I mean, and that’s part of the reason I love her. But, if that were ever to change, I would have no problem calling attention to it. I mean, there’s right and wrong, and I have no problem at all saying, “that’s wrong.” The world needs people like that. We have enough coddled Karens.

Question:

Answer:

This is an excellent question, and I’m thrilled that it was asked because I love talking about stuff like this.

The beginning of the day is critical to setting a positive tone. For me, I try my best to do several things – first, I’ll scroll through social media and make sure there isn’t some blockbuster story that I need to get on right away. Then, I’ll make sure to take a quiet five minutes or so to meditate, stretch, and focus. I hate to give anyone this visual, but usually, the shower is a good place for that – if you’re like me and struggle with an uneasy racing mind, focusing on a sound such as running water for several minutes helps to keep stray thoughts from bouncing around and causing anxiety.

Then, I’ll take a scrap piece of paper and jot down any tasks I have to complete that day so that they’re on paper and out of my head. That’s my daily to-do list and I love the feeling of crossing stuff off of a list. It’s underrated, for sure.

By the time I’m pouring my first cup of coffee, I’m feeling focused and ready to take on the day. As I cross off my to-do list, I feel a stronger sense of accomplishment, and days that go according to plan help me sleep better at night.

Question:

Answer:

I’m marrying the gin, that’s easy. It’s such a versatile drink that you can create so much with it that you’ll never get bored, but at the same time, you just can’t beat a good G&T in my book. I’m fuckin’ the beer ’cause I like to fuck with beer on a regular basis as is. So, that means I’m killing the spiked seltzer – I love a good Claw, but nothing can replace my gin and beer. Plus, I can still have regular seltzer if the mood so strikes me.
