Let’s face it – every day we are routinely bombarded with questions. When you’re an emerging media company in Nashville, people just want to know what your opinions are on everything. It’s only natural. And, since our duty is to serve the people, well, we have no choice but to be present. That’s the SoBro Way. Also, aren’t mailbags just a barrel of laughs anyway? Welcome to the newest weekly recurring feature up in this bitch: The SoBros Mailbag. As always, hit us with those mailbag questions @SoBrosNetwork on Twitter.
Question:
Should I be a vigilante for animal cruelty or people who drive slow in the fast lane?
— sobrostan (@sobrostan) September 17, 2020
Answer:
Yes.
Though, I’ll say the animal cruelty thing is much less tolerable than some asshole who’s just making you a few minutes late for work. Just to be clear there.
Question:
What fictional football player from a movie or tv show would you like to add to the Titans roster today?
— Patrick Criswell (@PatCrizzy) September 17, 2020
Answer:
Let’s beef up that pass rush. Vontae Mack – no matter what.
Question:
Who is your favorite disney princess?
— Rubber Rooster (@SoBroRooster) September 17, 2020
Answer:
This is a tough one – my answer, though I guess she’s one of the ones who wasn’t technically a princess, is Mulan. She’s such a badass.
Question:
I have a follow up to this one: who is your favorite Disney villain?
— Tank for Kumar (@trtidwell) September 17, 2020
Answer:
Definitely Scar from The Lion King – that motherfucker scared the shit out of me as a kid, but as an adult, I can’t help but respect how savage that fucking lion was. Also, shout out to Shere Khan as well.
Question:
I have a follow up to the follow up. Who is your favorite side character?
— Patrick Criswell (@PatCrizzy) September 17, 2020
Answer:
My gut reaction was ‘Timon & Pumba’ but that might just be because I watched The Lion King a million times as a kid. Upon deeper thought, I think I’m going Baloo from The Jungle Book, with the genie from Aladdin as a close second.
Question:
Top 3 crockpot go to dinners?
— sobrostan (@sobrostan) September 17, 2020
Answer:
Oddly enough, it might be three different types of chili – we make a more tradition style chili, but slice up some Polish sausage and drop in there. Shit is to die for. Then, there’s a white chicken chili that Aura makes that is straight fire – I think she actually likes that one more than the traditional chili. Finally, we just tried out a green chile chicken chili this week that I’m going to add to the rotation. Big time chili guy when the weather cools off.
But, for the sake of diversity, I’m going to add a couple more of my favorites that aren’t chili or chili-related.
Chicken n’ dumplings – that’s right – Aura found a recipe to make this classic Southern staple in the Crockpot out of crescent roll dough, and it is probably on my Mount Rushmore of comfort dishes.
Orange chicken – yep – a little bit of orange marmalade and some spice, slow-cooked with some chicken, and served over a bed of rice. I’m ready for it.
Crockpot season, LFG!
Keep the questions coming – catch y’all next week!
