Looks Like Forrest Gump Celebrated the Tide Win by Running Through Downtown Tuscaloosa

Distinguished Alabama native, Forrest Gump, was seen running through downtown Tuscaloosa on the night that the Crimson Tide won another National Championship.

Tuscaloosa was an absolute shit show after the Alabama Crimson Tide won the National Championship on Monday night. Bama fans just filling the streets as if there’s not a pandemic going on, without a mask in sight. Hell yeah, ROLL TIDE! Distinguished Alabama alum Forrest Gump even got in on the action:

Listen – Tuscaloosa is a magical place when Alabama wins National Championships. You just never know what you’re going to see. I’m honestly a little surprised that The Polar Express wasn’t careening down University Boulevard too. Robert Langdon might’ve been there. Hell, maybe even Captain Phillips.

My point is that Tuscaloosa after Alabama wins another title is like an episode of Tiger King starring Tom Hanks.

I don’t know why this happened. From the looks of this thread, I’m not sure anyone knows what is happening here. But, I will say this – it was an abject failure on the part of the entire city that no one stepped up and started running with him.

Credit to this guy for his commitment to the bit, though. It wasn’t about the cameras rolling or the celebrity involvement. It was just about running. It was just about being Forrest Gump in that moment. Let this serve as a reminder, folks, that magic is all around us. Well, magic and covid if you were one of the people cramming the streets in Tuscaloosa that night.
