So I hear there’s some controversy with the Academy…
I bet it’s concerning how Ridley Scott was skipped over for Best Director for The Martian. Wait. Maybe a few folks are outraged about Michael Keaton being looked over for his performance in Spotlight. Or, there’s a group of people (me included) that are deeply confused on how every single award show ignored Charlize Theron for Mad Max: Fury Road!
Along with guaranteed others, my choices would be somewhat different than what we have in front of us with this year’s nominees. The fact that Rooney Mara and Alicia Vikander are nominated for Best Supporting Actress when their roles are the furthest thing from supporting is farcical. Though one miraculous, long overdue event may finally happen: Leo wins his first Oscar! DiCaprio may be the only sure thing of the evening on February 28th.
Before we start, please remember my predictions are built on acute knowledge and research of every little component involving film. Therefore, they cannot be judged or questioned in the least. The assumption is all of them are correct.
Every single one.
