Whoa. Bernie – you just gonna drop this on us? With such a powerful message, no less. Like, “yeah! We’re gonna stick it to the man! Ben & Jerry’s employees vs. the world!”
No, no, no sir. I’m sharper than that. I want to address the giant elephant in the room. Senator Sanders, you are standing in a giant bucket of ice cream.
.@SenSanders is visiting our St. Albans, Vermont factory today to speak with our employees. pic.twitter.com/EqlXthG5To

Notice how the people behind him are smiling, amused, and laughing. Even they think it’s absurd, and they’re probably the people that brought him in to speak to the employees! Like, “let’s bring in Bernie Sanders, he’ll talk about some important shit, but we’re gonna put him in an ice cream bucket”
But, back to the initial question – what do the employees of Ben & Jerry’s have to gain by having Sanders there? And, why isn’t Bernie telling us why he’s there?
Without any context, I’m just going to assume this is Ben & Jerry’s pulling a practical joke on Bernie for no fucking reason other than they’re assholes! I mean, that’s the most rational conclusion out of this development. Does anyone NOT think that?
Didn’t think so.
So, I need some context, or I’m just going to resent Ben & Jerry’s. May even get a #BoycottBen&Jerrys movement going on Twitter. Your move, Senator Sanders. Do you really want us to start this battle with America’s most beloved ice cream brand?
