Christian Hackenberg Is Lighting It up at Jets Practice!

…..and by lighting it up, I mean sailing balls three feet over receivers heads, in the wrong direction of where the receiver was running, and firing it completely out of bounds.

Hey, guys – remember when the New York Jets passed on basically every quarterback imaginable this offseason? Remember last season when none of their quarterbacks threw more touchdowns than interceptions???

Yeah – I’m sure that’s going to be alright. NBD. They’ve got Josh McCown at the helm, and remember, they took Christian Hackenberg early in last year’s draft! He’s the future, and here we see him throwing balls as hard as he can in the complete opposite direction of his receiver. That has to be encouraging.

Sad thing is, I don’t think the Jets are too far away. They were 10-6 in 2015 under Todd Bowles before plummeting to 5-11 in 2016. Ryan Fitzpatrick had the best season of his career two years ago, but it all fell apart in 2016. And, when called upon, Bryce Petty showed that he very clearly was not the long term answer.

Of course, we’re just busting balls here – there’s no context behind this clip whatsoever. Maybe his receiver ran the wrong way. Maybe he thought his receiver had arms that were 10 feet long. But, before you come bustin’ my chops, look:

Rich Cimini even said he had a good day – damn. Can’t a guy tell a joke anymore?

We usually don’t do any sort of damage control around here, but I’d hate to think a NFL quarterback got shook because of our stupid ass comedy blog…..just covering my ass here.
