What goes up must come down, am I right?! The fact that this video is shot in slow motion makes it even better. At least I don’t think that’s real speed, but I’m not really an expert on these things. It starts innocently enough. In fact, I’d say it begins in an inspirational manner. You see this kid tackling new heights, and you’re ready to get out and do the impossible yourself.
Then, FATALITY – done. dead. count it. Laws of physics – 1, kid – 0. Series is over. Give physics the trophy.
And, you’re suddenly reminded of those times in your life when you just dove right in and the laws of physics were there to shut your ass down. It’s humbling – and we’ve all been there. I’m sure I’ll be there again. But, this is what we mean when we tell people, “you have to crawl before you can walk.” I understand it’s probably Christmas or this kid’s birthday. He just got a brand new bike and he is motherfucking fired up. But, boy….you can’t just go flying up the ramp. Get in some practice with those training wheels first!
And, just to clear the air here – yeah, I’m laughing at a kid getting wrecked. But, I give this kid full permission to laugh at me the next time I get wrecked. So, that makes this post and my hysterical laughing at him okay and fair.
