A visual and emotional masterpiece. Bravo to whoever made this. I haven’t been to a show where a mosh pit like this would break out in a decade. So, this is really taking me back. I guarantee many of you are watching this and thinking, “who the fuck are these people?”
Well, I can speak from experience and say that the mental image that was running through everyone involved in this pit’s head was precisely what this video editor accomplished. Slow motion, Celine Dion, a real thing of beauty. You can get in a good crowd at a show and the experience fully immerses you. I’ve been told it’s a natural high not so different from child birth.
Now, I’ve been a big dude as long as I’ve been an adult. I hated mosh pits. So, I was always the kid standing at the back of the room shielding his face from stray fists. But, I still know more than enough to break down the winners and losers in this video.
Winners

It’s just a fact of life that if you start hardcore dancing in a crowd, you’re going to catch a flying fist. More often than not, it’s unintentional, and if the man/woman apologizes, you’re just a hardo if you bow up. This guy takes a fist flush on the cheek – so hard his entire face turns to Silly Putty for a moment. But, you don’t see him putting up his dukes, do you? Respect.

It’s hard to find space to pull off a leap like this guy did, but he saw his opportunity and took it. Shooters shoot. The dude has some major ups, too.

Have you ever seen a big man move this gracefully?
Losers

This guy’s shirt – A lot of the big boys in this video just embraced and went tits out for the boys. Not this guy. He left his shirt on, but it’s obviously way too short. Need to head to Hot Topic immediately and buy a size up. This just screams “insecure.”

That is the face of searing pain. There’s no context for why this big hoss just blatantly fired a cannon into this kid’s face, but damn. Judging by the blood running out of his face, he took that L hard.

Again, no context – but if you get rattled by a direct punch to the face in a mosh pit, you’re going to have a tough time.
So, yeah, I actually honestly don’t miss these days one bit.
