Yep – y’all are probably sitting there thinking it’s real cool to teach your cats how to use human toilets. Well, I just have one thing to say:

All you’re probably used to are the clips of cats pooping in toilets from America’s Funniest Home Videos (which is, surprisingly, still a thing). But, what you don’t see is the time and effort it takes to get these pooping cats up and running. You think they just hop up on the john and pop a squat all willy nilly on the first try? No, no they don’t.
While you’re sitting there, laughing your asses off at a 10-second video, cat owners all over the world are putting in tireless hours to make it happen. So, why don’t you think about that the next time you judge a cat for shitting bare ass on a nice linoleum floor?
Still, it’s hard to defend Ander here. That’s what that lady in the video called him, right? “Ander” – not a strong cat name, but whatever. We’ll run with that.
This could have been Ander’s first take up on the porcelain throne for all we know. But, nonetheless, we’re big ‘eye test’ guys on this site. And, looking at the eye test, Ander was way off. Like, might as well have just shit in the bath tub off. You’re telling me no one could’ve stepped in and tipped him off?
Maybe Ander has balance issues. He couldn’t stabilize himself on the toilet seat alone, so he needed the shower. So, why don’t you work on balance? Then, when he’s good and ready, you put him on the toilet seat. You know, again, we don’t have much context here, so I hate to put all the blame on this poor cat.
What is inexcusable, though, is the slight startle Ander endures when he hops down and notices his turd on the floor. Is your lack of spatial awareness so bad that you really thought that log was going in the commode? Come on, Ander. You’re a cat. Cats have AWESOME spatial awareness.
Then, the panic sets in. He doesn’t really know what to do so his brain just defaults to instinct. “Gotta hide my scent – better paw up this hard floor.” Like, dude – what’s happening in your brain? #BeBetter.
All in all, I don’t know what this cat was thinking. But, I’m willing to pass the blame around to everyone involved in this clip.
