Even Strippers Could Lose Their Jobs to Automation

Sad, sad news for all the pole dancers out there. It looks like in addition to virtually every other profession in the world, your’s isn’t immune to automation either. Also, this is bad news for everyone who loves to feel a warm body on their laps when they go to the strip club. Something about cold metal isn’t exactly a turn-on.

I kid, I kid. Of course, once these roll out, I’m sure they’ll look just like real humans and will probably feel like them, too. But, maybe they showed us this footage a bit prematurely.

It already seems like the general public is a little apprehensive of a robotic future. Maybe we shouldn’t scar them with jolting footage of robots with giant security cameras for heads dancing on a pole and say, “this is the future.” How about we ease them in?? Maybe finish one of these prototypes, put it up on stage, have people throw their money, and then at the end, reveal that it’s actually a robot! You could even bring a gun up on stage and shoot the thing in the head. When people see that it’s nothing but wiring and circuitry inside, they would be immediately relieved and happy.

That would not be scarring at all.

But, we definitely need to think about presentation with these things. Because I’m looking at that thing, thinking, “I’m about to die. I’ve seen I, Robot.” We’re talking about robots stripping when people aren’t even entirely comfortable with robots existing at all just yet.

Also, what the fuck is Air Horn Head’s left hand shaped/crafted for????
