“You guys make all these predictions about who’s going to win all the games! Why do we even play? Why do we even have practice?!”
Well, I’ll be dawl gong, Coach, you’re right! We don’t need to play no stinking football games! The media already has us covered. I mean, shit – back in 2013, I predicted Florida State winning the National Championship in August. I could’ve saved the whole country a bunch of time, but no one came and asked me.
But, here’s the flaw, Coach. Here’s what you’re not thinking about – see, in order for sites like us to make all of these predictions, there has to be a ‘last season.’ Because that’s what we base our predictions on! So, we can’t predict next year if there’s not a this year, and we can’t predict this year if there’s not a last year. See what I’m saying?
I don’t know, I know Coach has a lot of pull in college football, but I think he’s going to have a hard time gaining traction with this idea. But, too, you never know!
First of all, I love that a question about Christian Miller is what set this rant into motion. Second, I love that he cracked, and started to laugh mid-rant. Third, I love that he rebounded to answer the reporter’s question honestly. Finally, I just love that he is Nick Saban.
