It’s Friday – another tough week of hard, blistering work here in this blog game. Post after post, quality content – trying to give our few thousand readers something to enjoy. There’s always this brief period of reflection on Fridays. Once I’ve finished all my work and right before the weekend shenanigans begin, I just sit and say, “okay – this week…was it a win or a loss?”
This week, I’m in between – but then I’m scrolling through the SoBros Network’s Instagram, and stumble upon a post from Sugar the Surfing Dog, and it reminds me of overcoming the odds. Like, Sugar is a dog…how many people probably told Sugar he/she would never surf…because he/she is a dog. But, now look – that dog is on a surfboard making thousands of people smile. Brightening days.
Wave at the haters, Sugar! Those assholes that told you you’d never surf!
That’s what we need to do here – surf in the face of the naysayers. So, Sugar the Surfing Dog has without doubt raised the spirits, at least on this shitty comedy slice of life blog. It’s inspiring, really. So, I figured I’d pass along this cheer to all of you.
And, remember: wave at the haters when they see you stuntin’ in these streets.
Just to clarify, I don’t actually think we have any real haters, but I imagine they exist and that motivates me to work harder so even if they’re imaginary, I just wave and strut.
