I wasn’t as flaming hot last week as I was in the first week, but I still came away a winner. I think it’s because I took too long of a victory lap last week. That’s just bad juju – can’t have that shit holding me down. So, this week, I’m just going to put my elbow on a grindstone and keep my nose in the dirt or whatever that saying is. Just gonna do work. Gonna do my #GSD grind and pick football games.
I’m going to be honest – this is a bit of a tough week. I’m kind of nervous about this week, as there aren’t too many games out there that I’m 100% confident in. That’s the secret to a good pick – you feel it. You just know it in your bones. I think I only two of these with my bone this week, so yeah – little tense. Little antsy. I’m just going to give it my best effort and at the end of the day, I will still get a trophy because I buy all the trophies around here and can just buy myself one for no damn reason.
Big Natural’s Picks
NFL: New England -6.5 @ New Orleans – Something tells me the Pats will be out for blood in this game, so tune in if you’re all about watching a live murder. The Saints defense made Sam Bradford look like Tom Brady and now the actual Tom Brady comes to town. R.I.P. Saints.
NCAAF: South Carolina -6.5 vs. Kentucky – The Wildcats are a rough 2-0. It’s like when you go on a weekend bender and wake up to see your friend who wandered off at 9PM high on meth and drunk on moonshine has made it home safely. “Dude – you shouldn’t even be here. You shouldn’t be alive right now.” That’s the Wildcats so far – they don’t look like a team that should be 2-0. Meanwhile the Big Gamecocks look like the only team in the SEC East that could put the beans to Georgia. I like ’em big here….talking about South Carolina, folks.
NCAAF: UCLA -3 @ Memphis – Josh Rosen is thick in the Heisman hunt, and those Bruins are looking good. Pair that with the fact that Memphis is a bit overrated as just a three-point dog, and I think this favors UCLA.
NCAAF: Oregon -14 @ Wyoming – The Cowpokes just haven’t been as impressive as many thought they’d be, and I think people are sleeping on the Ducks. I usually stay away from these large spreads, but I think Oregon gets the job done.
NFL: Cleveland +8 @ Baltimore – I can’t spend all offseason saying, “the Browns are going to be more competitive than people think,” and then act surprised when they gave Pittsburgh fits. I don’t think it’s an indictment of the Steelers….I actually do believe the Browns are going to be competitive in games this year. Pair that with the perception of the Ravens being inflated by beating a bad Bengals team, and I think eight points is wayyyyyyyy too generous to Baltimore.
Last Week: (3-2)
On the Season: (7-3) – 70%
