We’ve all known some feisty old guys in our day. The ones who talk like they’re still storming the beaches of Normandy. But, for the most part, it’s all talk – it’s still that fighting spirit manifesting within them, but nothing more. You don’t typically see old guys actually execute. Well, I guess today we’ve found a couple of old dudes who are willing to add the bite to the bark….except…the problem is that they very obviously can’t square up like they used to. So, if you’re like me and ever thought, “yeah – I’d like to see 70 year old men actually fight,” well fam I got you:
Hey, I don’t want to judge anyone, but do y’all think alcohol had any part in this?
I don’t know. Hard to tell what’s drunkenness and what’s decades of life experience coming into effect. One thing I do know is that Papa in the green shirt has that one hitter quitter. First swing, looks like he just grazed the other guy’s ear. But, he was pretty obviously just loosening him up. Then, he comes in with the haymaker, or at least the rough equivalent of a haymaker in an old man sissy slap fight, and he drops his opponent like a sack of potatoes.
I have no context for this, but just seeing the passion in both men’s eyes, I’m ready to tackle the day. I’m going to slap this week in the ear so hard it spills its beer!
