Part of what we do here is make people laugh. But, the biggest part of what we do here is actual journalism and helping the public. It’s our duty as a transparent media company. This bit of news out of Egypt has me a little concerned. Namely, because I don’t know if there is a way to eat a banana without at least being a little sexual.

An Egyptian female pop singer was convicted Tuesday of promoting debauchery with a racy video clip and sentenced to two years in prison.
A Cairo court also ordered Shaimaa Ahmed, better known by her stage name Shyma, to pay a fine of 10,000 pounds (about $560).
Shyma appears in the video in her underwear singing while suggestively eating an apple and a banana before a classroom of young men.
The video created a stir on social media in conservative and Muslim-majority Egypt and was discussed on TV talk shows.
Damn it. DAMN IT. If Egypt ever sees the Rhett Reno video, I am so screwed. Just look at this:
That is the look of a man who is about to fellatiously tear apart that naner. And, oh my goodness, if ‘promoting debauchery’ is all it takes for the Egyptian government to take $560 out of my pocket, then I am in boiling hot water. It feels like all I’ve done with my life is promote debauchery.
The one thing I have going for me is that I am very clearly not in my underwear doing this video. Actually, two things. I forgot that Egypt is actually all the way across the ocean. I’m pretty world famous, but I can’t say that I know whether they know who I am or not in Egypt. That could be a benefit for me as well.
