Drama was high in Minneapolis yesterday. The Vikings and Saints put on one hell of a show. The Vikes got up early, but Drew Brees stormed back to take the lead with just 25 seconds left on the clock. Cue up the magic. Pour another one out for Marcus Williams, because the ‘Minnesota Miracle,’ as it’s been dubbed, is not going away any time soon. It was one of the all-time great plays in NFL history.

That’s just madness. Hearing that stadium roar when they realized Stefon Diggs caught that ball, but then find another level of amplitude when they realized he was going to score a touchdown…man, that was crazy. This is a case for why sports are awesome.
But, what the hell is with Sam Bradford here?
Link – What in tarnation? This reminded me of a scene from a romance movie. Pure euphoria and Bradford can barely contain hormones. It’s a real love story.
Finally, Case Keenum leading the SKOL chant for a stadium full of people who want the fucking Super Bowl played on their home field:

Fun side note: Many of you know I cover the Tennessee Titans here. Well, a few years ago, when I was writing for Titan Sized, I wrote a piece criticizing the hiring of Ken Whisenhunt. I got roasted for that, as Whiz was a popular hire in Nashville at the time. When asked who I wanted instead, I said, “Mark my words – Mike Zimmer is going to have the Vikings competing for Super Bowls.” It’s a little bittersweet – on one hand, I was right and I like being right. On the other, FFS why couldn’t the Titans have landed Zimmer several years ago???
Regardless, happy for the Vikings – they’re one of the three remaining teams who have yet to win a Super Bowl. The idea that they could do it on their own field is something special.
