Big news coming down from noted charisma factory Ian Rapoport (or less electric Adam Schefter depending on who your go-to is). It looks like the Kansas City Chiefs are dealing stud cornerback Marcus Peters to the Los Angeles Rams.

Not sure why, but it looks like the Chiefs are in full-on rebuild mode. This is their second major deal and it’s not even officially time for trades to count. Crazy. First, Alex Smith to the Redskins and now Peters to the Rams.
These are two pretty important pieces. But, you can’t help but wonder if there’s more to Peters’ personality than Andy Reid and company let on in the media. He’s a feisty guy.
But, I don’t know. Do you just actively trade one of the best corners in football like this? We’ll have to wait and see what the Rams are offering up in return before we can officially judge the trade, but this is wild. You don’t see this too often. Much less, from the same team.
All in all, this is a huge addition for a Rams defense that’s already loaded with talent. Assuming Sean McVay is the real deal, and not just the most #handsome coach in the NFL, this team could be really good for a long time.
