Whoever Made the Cadbury Bunny Commercial Has to Be the Greatest Marketer of All Time

So, I’m leaving the house the other morning, and I hear a familiar “buck-buck-buck-buck” sound. I look down at the television, and I’ll be damned if it’s not the Cadbury bunny. I don’t even know when Easter is this year. But, I know I’ve seen those delicious Cadbury eggs on store shelves already, and am preparing my body to consume roughly 5,000 of them over the course of the next month or so. But, I got to thinking….”man, how long have they been running this ad?”

These commercials were made in the 1980s. THE 80S!!!

I wasn’t even born, and they are STILL running these ads in 2018. It’s a miracle, really. In a world where nothing has longevity past the 24-hour news cycle, this commercial with this silly little bunny and a bunch of other animals has made it for 30+ years. Unbelievable.

We really have no choice at this point but to salute the team that created this ad. Hell, I’m willing to ask whether or not they should be considered the greatest marketer of all time! Are they?

I don’t know – you don’t see Wendy’s running the “Where’s the Beef?” ad anymore. Haven’t seen Ronald McDonald in a hot minute. Closest thing is probably the M&Ms Santa Claus commercial. Y’know, the “They Do Exist” one…but I haven’t even seen that one the last couple of years.

Let’s go ahead and call it, folks. This is the greatest marketing campaign of all time.

By the way, I never knew that weird orange/brown streak in the egg was supposed to be a “yolk.” No idea what that was about. I can remember being a kid and just thinking, “yeah, this looks kind of gross. Not sure what it is, but whatever – I’m sure it’s fine.”

Sometimes I wonder how I made it to 31.
