The Nashville Predators are set to kick off their campaign for a second consecutive Western Conference Championship and their first ever Stanley Cup tomorrow night at 8:30PM CST. The Colorado Avalanche are on their way to Nashville to do battle inside the confines of Bridgestone Arena. But, there’s big news today as Sean Henry has announced that the long-rumored catfish tank has been installed. See for yourself:

We saw a preview of this a couple of weeks ago, but didn’t have much context. Rumors swirled that we would indeed be getting a tank for catfish right in the heart of Smashville. But, that’s silly, right? There’s no way, right? That seems like a huge waste of resources, but what even is the point to begin with? It can’t be, can it? Well, folks – apparently, our prayers have been answered and our dreams have come true.
We got a damn catfish tank inside Bridgestone Arena.
Amazing…but, anyway, according to our (maybe…kind of…) reliable sources, the tank is on display on the main concourse by the Yazoo bar (we think). But, this is just plain awesome. It’s no wonder that hockey fans across the NHL can be so butt hurt. Look at how much fun we’re having at this hockey thing! It’s pure jealousy. I can already hear the exchanges…
Blackhawks fan: “See our Stanley Cups?”
Preds fan: “But, do you see our fucking catfish tank in the concourse?”
R.I.P. Blackhawks fan.
And, the damned thing even has gold streaks and a tail! This is the kind of stuff that makes Smashville so great. If nothing else, we damn sure know how to have fun. Personally, I can’t wait to go see this bad boy. Best to keep Gnash away from the tank, though.
