I’m a native Nashvillian. Born and raised up in this bitch, as they say. Growing up in pre-Providence Mount Juliet, I can honestly say it was a real treat to drive across town from Gladeville to the heart of Mount Juliet for Hardee’s. To this day, they have the best biscuits in the game. I still get a hankering for a frisco sandwich every now and then – though since my metabolism has slowed down, I inevitably hate myself more with every bite.
Point is, at least in my book, Hardee’s is a southern institution. I know I’m not the only one who thinks this, either.
Well, it looks like all of our years of supporting this paragon of Americana have finally paid off. Hardee’s has paid a “crop artist” – which is apparently a thing – to come out to Nashville and design a big hamburger in a field. Yes, you read that correctly.

Nashville…I know there’s a lot going on in the city right now. But, we absolutely have to figure this mystery out. I have to know where this giant crop burger resides. I won’t sleep a wink until we know.
First of all, I didn’t even realize crop artistry was a thing. But, not only is it a thing….there are people that are known for it. I’m referencing the aforementioned “crop artist,” of course. This guy makes art out of fields. It’s really no different than a musician who makes people sing, a philosophizer who makes people think, or a clown who makes children laugh.
Second of all, props to Hardee’s for understanding what speaks to people in 2018. It’s handcrafted, vintage stuff. Digging the switch back to the old Hardee’s logo. Love the handmade art. It’s just such a positive thing all around. And, it’s all right here in our own beloved city. What’s that? A single tear trickling down my cheek.
Damn, now I want a burger.
