Lake season is well underway, and while we’ve already caught our first great rope swing fail of the year, we’re just now getting a glimpse of the heralded bulldozer rope swing. Really, it’s sort of the Holy Grail of Lake Season attractions. First, you have the lake itself – that’s probably the best attraction, and the easiest to acquire.
But, then, you have a whole host of attractions that amplify the mystique of the lake. The rope swing is ol’ reliable, the boat is for the elite, and then there’s the rope swing attached to the crane of a bulldozer. Or, really – whatever that thing is…I’m pretty sure it’s not actually a bulldozer, and I’m pretty sure that extension isn’t called a crane. But, whatever – that’s neither here nor there, and really – reporting accurately isn’t a major concern of us media companies in 2018.
As usual, here’s a link in case Instagram takes this down.
The speed, the grace, the thrill of the ride – everything about this clip is perfect. It’s like watching a symphony of motion. This guy just makes it look effortless, but it has to take some tremendous upper body strength to pull this off, though.
I can already see myself trying this, getting tired, letting go at about 5MPH and falling to the ground. I’ll be going fast enough that I’ll slide 20 feet into the ground. I’ll only be wearing swimming trunks, which will be lost in the slide. So, I’ll be left to stand butt ass naked with scratches and scrapes covering my body.
That…I see all of that happening if/when I try this.
But, anyway – yeah – the bulldozer rope swing. Hope you get to mess with one this Lake Season.
