Life is a long, winding road, folks. It’s not about the destination, but it’s about the journey and all that nonsense. You know what I’m trying to say. I don’t know why, but I watched this clip of a dog chasing its tail, and it just made me realize how much I need to slow down and appreciate the life that I lead.
As usual, here’s a link in case Instagram takes this video down.
Doggo tries to eat his tail (@thechive)

Same, doggo. So same. This dog speaks to me. I am this dog, and this dog is me.
Constantly chasing something that I have no idea what I’d do with if I caught it. You can see it on this dog’s face – he just checks out. He loses sight of the fact that his owner right there, attempting to heap love upon him….it doesn’t matter. The dog has a tail to chase. And, for what? Some stubborn sense of accomplishment. Attaining the unattainable? What does it matter?
The rat race is real, even for dogs, folks. But, this little guy reminded me of that.
How we’re all just shuffling through life, basically. We’re all just stuck in an algorithm, chasing our tails without questioning why we do the things we do. Furthermore, only doing them because society tells us it’s what’s right.
Take time to contemplate that today. Or, you can take some time to read this much less depressing post about Mike Leach.
