Shane Strickland vs. Aaron Solow: It’s heavy hitter time, y’all. #2 seed Shane Strickland and overall #1 seed Jeff Cobb are the only men standing between Aaron Solow and getting an opportunity to be ROH Television Champion. First up is Swerve, who is an absolute stud in and out of the ring. Strickland has a unique style of hard hitting and high flying that’s really hard to deal with. Solow don’t give a you-know-what, which led these two to putting on a show. At times, this felt like a real sprint with both guys throwing everything at the other. From a production standpoint, it felt like this match got the most out of the crowd, as they were living and dying on a couple of those near falls. A frenetic finish ends with Solow securing another submission win and moving on to the finale.

Jeff Cobb vs. Aaron Solow: Well here it is, folks. Solow has fought his way through Ricky Starks (technically), Cheeseburger, MJF and Strickland to face off with the #1 seed Cobb. Cobb’s reputation of having super human strength is well noted, as the Hawaiian qualified for the 2004 Summer Olympics. He even squared off with Yoel Romero, who has put together quite the MMA career. What I’m saying is Cobb is a bad, bad man. Once again, Solow doesn’t give a fluff and went right at the big man. Solow fucking flew in this match, showing absolutely no fear when it came to launching himself at Cobb. It looked hairy for a few moments, but Solow pulls off the upset with a big, brutal cradle DDT and wins the inaugural Dojo Pro black belt. Look for Solow to get a crack at the ROH Television Championship in the near future.

There it is… the first season of Dojo Pro in a nutshell. We had great talent, fun matches, and a damn good tournament in hindsight. With each episode consisting of a single match, plus some pre/post-match stuff, this season is begging to be binge watched. Sign us up for Season 2…preferably with Brett Ison cracking skulls.
