Big news out of TPAC a couple days ago as they’ve officially announced that Double Dare….yes….THAT Double Dare is coming to Nashville on November 9th, 2018. It looks like tickets to Double Dare Nashville will go on sale Friday morning, and I, for one, can’t wait.
The messiest game show on TV is now the messiest game show on the road. Double Dare Live is coming to Nashville Nov. 9! All the Slime soaking, pie plastering, and booger busting will be hosted by the Double Dare legend himself Marc Summers! Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. pic.twitter.com/RDrnyru5sM

Like most kids back in the 90’s when I got home from school, after homework I would watch tv. Most of my time was spent watching Nickelodeon. Global Guts, Figure It Out, Legends of The Hidden Temple and Double Dare. I would always think, “I would crush it” on those game shows. It was always a dream of mine to go onto one of those shows!
Great news!! If you were like me and always wanted to go on one of these shows, you’re now going to get a chance to go! Double Dare will be making a stop right here in Nashville! Best part about it, Marc Summers is coming along with them!
Double Dare will be stopping by TPAC on November 9th. All of those fan favorites will be coming with them!
To say I am elated to read this news would be an understatement. Words cannot describe the magic of Double Dare and the other shows like from that era. It’s like trying to capture lightning in a bottle. Like Battle, who authored the piece linked above, it was always a dream of mine to compete on this show, Guts, and of course, the G.O.A.T. (in my opinion), Legends of the Hidden Temple. Sadly, I have to admit that I don’t remember Figure It Out, but would substitute that with Wild & Crazy Kids to form my own Nickelodeon Mount Rushmore.
Up until I was a teenager, maybe even longer, you could’ve asked me what I wanted to do with my life, and I would’ve said, “I want to compete on 90s era Nickelodeon game shows.”
You may laugh, but I’m far from the only one who feels this way. And, now, it looks like those kids like us in Nashville who have grown up with a giant sized whole in their hearts from missing such experiences live will have a chance to relive all the nostalgia.
I can’t wait….now time to go make some calls and figure out how we get a SoBros team onstage for this.
