Movie Review Rewind: Transporter 3 (2008)

I have enjoyed these Transporter movies. The first two were good and the third installment fits well with the others. Now, I know some people hate them. Those same people probably believe that Jason Statham does the same role in every movie. I kind of agree with that, though. It seems he does play one role in every movie. But, you have to give him credit for being successful with that only character.

He’s an action star. I believe everyone would agree with that. These Transporter movies are full of action. I’ll be the first one to admit that the plots are thin. Very thin. But, these movies are ‘what you see is what you get.’ Anyone who is willing to pay to see this knows what they are getting into. Or, at least they should by now.

It will mostly contain action – unbelievable stunts that could never happen in real life. You will see a few in this third one as well, but you shouldn’t hold that against the movie. The fans of these movies will find it entertaining. People who want to see cars crashing, wrecking, blowing up, and driving into lakes will enjoy it. All of these things happen within the world of the Transporter.

Statham is good at kicking ass, and he does quite a bit of that in this movie. You’re not going to see the greatest film here. I think we know that. But, I can tell you that it will not be a disappointing either. What these movies promise, they deliver on.
