Our Favorite Halloween Costumes From Our Past

Hard to believe that Spooky Season 2018 is already almost over, but with only a few days left before the big day, it’s here. I didn’t even put together a content plan for Halloween this year until two weeks ago! Wasn’t going to fool with it, but once I started seeing numbers come in for last year’s Halloween content, I couldn’t let the moment pass us by. In that time, we’ve written 20+ new pieces and have run and will continue to run 17 pieces from last year. Today, we’re going to take a trip down memory lane at some of our own personal favorite Halloween costumes as we basically put a bow on our Spooky Season 2018 coverage.

The SoBros Favorite Halloween Costumes

Herbie Brooks – “My favorite Halloween costume was Leonardo from Ninja Turtles. I was huge Turtles fan as a kid. If it was Ninja Turtles, I was there for it. My grandpa even made me wooden swords to carry around with my costume.”

“Big Natural” Stoney Keeley – Hey, that’s me. I’ve had a lot of SICK Halloween costumes over the year, but if I had to pick one, I’d go with my ‘Bob Mueller’ from 2005. I was going for Ron Burgundy, but it looked more like Bob Mueller, so I just went with it. It was a hit and I was doing my Bob Mueller impression all night long. Honorable mentions go to Al Borland, a ketchup bottle, a slice of pizza, and “Macho Man” Randy Savage.

“The General” John Mosley – “When I was eight or nine I was Todd McFarlane’s Spawn. The only problem was the stupid vinyl mask that I couldn’t breathe through leading to my mom cutting holes in the nose/mouth areas. That’s right I was Lucha Spawn y’all.”

Cadbury Pringlebatch – “Joaquin Phoenix “character” from I’m Still Here. Growing my hair and beard out to wear a three piece suit and sunglasses inside just felt…..right.”

Rubber Rooster – Favorite costume ever worn – my nun costume for the Ghost show cause everyone at the venue was getting a kick out of it and Tobias Forge told me I looked good. Plus it was super comfortable. But my sloth onesie is a close second, also because it’s comfortable.

“Nature Boy” Brandon Vick – “I’m not sure how many brilliant ideas Iv’e had in my life – but I know of at least one! Dressed as Roger Klotz from ‘Doug’ with my orange hair, green make-up, and slick black leather jacket, but I knew this costume would forever be a Halloween highlight of mine.”
