Why We Puttin’ Mics in Front of Cats All of a Sudden?

Okay, you guys know by now that we have a hard quota of cat content to get through on a weekly basis. Today, I’m going to be covering an interesting trend I’ve noticed because of all the cat accounts I follow on Instagram. People are now putting microphones in front of their cats and recording the responses.

As usual here’s a link in case Instagram takes this video down.

I love this. Sounds like the lead singer from Disturbed.

Y’know, I never really noticed the wide array of interesting noises cats make until I watched this video. Thanks to the OP for giving me pause and “making me think” as intellectuals like myself say. I’m actually tempted to put this into practice. My family’s ranch is currently home to about five hundred savage barn cats. I’ll chase them around with a microphone and see what I get. Should be a great social experiment, which coincidentally, is what intellectuals like myself do.

…aaaaand here’s another link in case Instagram takes this video down.

Now, this – THIS is some Willy Wonka sounding shit. Haunting, unsettling if you will. It’s like if Paul Bearer actually ran the chocolate factory. This cat is about to summon The Undertaker. I fully expect the camera to zoom out, and we realize that the cat is actually holding an urn.

Also, this cat’s about to whoop somebody’s ass.

Look, I don’t know how we got here. But, here we are, and really – we’re better for it. Except for that pissed off cat. That pissed off cat is legit about to bite someone’s finger off and I’m not even going to feel bad about it. You were given fair warning. But, for the rest of us, this is a delightful internet phenomenon.

Thank you for joining us for our regularly scheduled cat content.
