Every Friday, we here at the SoBros Network like to give you a proper sendoff into your weekend. Something to make you laugh, something to make you happy, something to make you cry, whatever you want to call it. But, anyway, we figured why not give this special column a name? So, here we are, folks – it’s the Friday Feel Good. This week, we are going to watch a clip of Elvis doing karate.
Another long hard work week in the books! It’s time for The Friday Feel Good! Hope you guys are staying warm out there – here in Nashville, it looks like winter has finally arrived to stay. Other than heading to The Basement East on Sunday to watch Nick Gage vs. Brett Ison at Southern Underground Pro, I’m looking forward to a few days to hibernate. I’m trying to get ahead on SoBros work so that I can just sit on the couch and fucking vegetate on Monday.
Anyway, little known fact about Big Natural – I’m a big time Elvis guy. My grandma was a HUGE Elvis fan, so growing up, I listened to more Elvis than I ever wanted to. It was one of those things that I thought I would grow out of – in fact, I hated Elvis when I was a kid. Now, I’m into his greatest hits catalog, and it brings me joy because it brings back fond memories of my grandmother.
This post has gotten far more sentimental than it was meant to be. Oh well.
You might not know it, but Elvis was HUGE into karate. I knew that as a fun fact, but until now, I’ve never actually seen the man in action. Gotta say, folks…it is quite hilarious.

Was he drunk during training? That doesn’t look like karate – that looks what bros look like down on Broadway trying to fight after a sloppy night out. This is exactly what I would look like if I stood up and you said, “give me your best effort at karate having NO experience in karate whatsoever.” It’s like the karate you did as kids after watching a Power Rangers marathon.
Nonetheless, I’m mesmerized by it. I have watched this same clip over and over more times than I care to admit. Get me three deep into #GinFriday and I’ll be pulling off these moves inside Nectar: Urban Cantina.
Happy Friday, guys – whatever you do, stay safe out there. Celebrate life. Wave at the haters. All that stuff.
