We’re taking a different approach to Music Monday this week and focusing on a new, rising indie-rock group:  Antlerhead.

Formed just over a year ago, this young trio from the Midwest is already making waves with their mellifluent style and unique range of vocals.  The closest comparison I can make for them takes me back to the days of Circa Survive on heavy rotation, and that is one hell of a throwback.

As this project is still in early development, there are only a few songs available at the moment.  One of these is quite the experience as they’ve mashed together their own version of Green Day’s Brain Stew.

Fortunately, we can expect this limited number of tunes to be joined by a few more jams as they are in the final stages of recording their first EP.  According to their Indiegogo project (link below), this should be wrapped up in the next few months….and I can’t freaking wait.

Take a peek at the current project’s effort below:

While we wait for the EP, give their released singles Saved and Sandcastles a listen through Spotify, Itunes, or YouTube and stay updated with the band’s progress through their multiple social media pages.

Enjoy!
